You’re focused. In your groove. 🍂Leaves are turning outside. Your cinnamon tea is steeping. You’ve been showing up consistently online over the busy summer, getting excited about the Black Friday sales season and Thanksgiving holidays.. building your brand, creating content that connects and loving the idea of making extra money from home.

Then *bam* ..you open your inbox and find a “Hey Girl..” message inviting you to join their money maker online business.

Wait, what?

You just flipped your laptop on, checking your 🤳🏼messages.. and there it is. A bubbly ‘Hey Girl’ from a name you barely recognize. You know where it’s going.. another pitch. But this one? It makes you take a big sighing breath..

Because.. women like you and I .. we've been there.

And now we get to choose how to respond; with power & grace.

Let me say this first, Sunshine: If someone is prospecting YOU, it’s a good sign.

Yes, I know it might be awkward. But it also means you’re standing out. You’re being seen, glowing in your own online space. You’re giving off vibes of leadership, stability, and momentum. People want you on their team. You are a desirable commodity! And that’s worth pausing to appreciate.

Getting Prospected Means You’re Being Noticed

So what do you say?

Let’s break it down. 😉

Take It As a Compliment—Because It Is
Someone saw your content. Your smile. Your strength. Your confidence. And they thought, “She would be amazing.”

That’s powerful.

Even if they slid into your inbox with a copy-paste pitch, give them credit: they’re trying. It takes guts to reach out. And at some point, we were all taught that “fortune is in the follow-up” and “everyone is a prospect.”

But you? You’re past that now. You're in a happy and successful space and place .. Maybe you're like me and found a better way to make money online.. one with greater simplicity, better automation, and 100% profits without constantly needing to mail samples, recruit or rebuild a team.

So how do we show up for this moment with kindness and clarity?

What NOT to Do When You Get Prospected:
❌ Don’t ghost them 👻
❌ Don’t roll your eyes and delete
❌ Don’t assume you’re “above” the message
❌ Don’t miss the chance to connect

Respond with Warmth, Not Wounds ❤️‍🩹
You never know what someone is walking through behind the screen.

Maybe this woman is giving it her last shot. Maybe she’s been ghosted 100 times this week. Maybe she’s exhausted, spinning her wheels with no real mentorship, never been taught a different way and only going on what she learned to do ten years ago. She finally got the courage to reach out.. and you’re who she chose.

So take a moment for her. Breathe. Lead with love.
(even if you feel like you are just a tick off of her twenty five copy paste messages "to-do" task list) 😂

Of course we're not going to say yes. But we also don’t need to ignore her or roll our eyes. Because our response? Might just be the beginning of something bigger.

Say No with Grace.. But Stay Grounded in Your Yes
Here’s one way I’ve replied:

“Thanks so much for thinking of me! That means a lot. I’m actually in a beautiful season right now 🍂 head down, focused on my digital marketing business, and growing some exciting things that I’ve fallen in love with especially with the 100% commission and automations that do a lot of the heavy lifting for me. I’ve got to say no to outside projects right now, to say yes would be a disservice to you with what's going on right now.. but I appreciate you reaching out.”

This lets them know:
✅ You’re flattered
✅ You’re focused
✅ You’re already doing something amazing

It also gently invites them to lean in and ask what you’re doing.

And believe it or not, half the time they do.

Side Note: I have had "out of the blue" messages from women I deeply respected, have been "running in the same circles" (even if I have not talked to them in ages) who have reached out to me about a new affiliate program, a new business tool, some done for us Fall content creatives and graphics ect.. And I appreciate their reach out because I know they thought enough of me to do so.. The thing is I know YOU with your inner intuition and energy radar can differentiate between the two. 😉

If You’ve Been the One Reaching Out…
Don’t be embarrassed. Don’t shrink back. Whether your message is clunky or polished, it means you’re showing up for your dream. And that matters. You're doing your best. Just know there are women out here who see you.. and honor the courage it takes to try again.
