I remember staring at my planner one night, feeling like a failure. I had sent the reminders, hosted the calls, posted the pep talks… and still? Crickets. It felt like I cared more than they did. And in that moment, I realized.. I was exhausted from pushing. And then one day I heard this metaphor:

Imagine trying to move an elephant by pushing it from behind with all your strength. You won’t budge it.. not even an inch. But hold out your hand with a few peanuts… and it’ll move with joy, curiosity, and energy.

💥 That was my wake-up call twelve years ago.

I realized: Motivation doesn’t work the way we think it does.

People don’t move because we want them to.
They move when they want to.
They move when they feel inspired.

🎯 Leadership Isn’t About Pressure.. It’s About Permission

Here’s what they don’t tell you when we start building a team:

We're are not their boss.
We're are not their parent.
And we are definitely not their motivational speaker.

What you are… is a mirror.

We're reflect what’s possible.
We're remind them what they’re capable of.
We model what consistency, joy, and resilience look like.

💛 In this business, every woman is a volunteer.

She chose to show up.
She chose to believe in herself.
And our role is to fan those 🔥 flames.. not carry the fire for her.

❤️‍🩹PS ... I remember this was difficult for me way back when .. because I used to "Mom" a lot, "Mother Hen" women in my network marketing business. I felt a strong responsibility and yes even pain when they didn't "act; didn't do the online money maker business tasks, so therefore they didn't have the success they desired, nor the success I deeply desired FOR them.

.. I once sat crying in my car after a team member ghosted me completely. I had poured hours into supporting her after she had reached out for support.. I took her struggle personally. But looking back now, I realize.. I was trying to carry her dream, when she hadn’t even picked it up herself.
