Because Multi-Tasking Is Our Superpower.. But We’re Tired

The Online Advice Feels Like Another Job

Most of what’s out there just wasn't working for me anymore. The MLM and network marketing business models: home parties, Zoom meetings, sending samples, the Black Friday sales frenzy. Or hiding in the bathroom to respond to the DMs that were piling up instead of soaking up all the bliss and bless with family events & grandbabies underfoot.

Something HAD to give...

I was ever grateful for what my network marketing company taught me over the years.. marketing & sales knowledge, consistency, personal growth… all great and fabulous things. But when I landed back in Canada last spring, (my husband was sick of the cold and snow) .. I came home to six months of unopened product just to stay commission “qualified.”

And all I could think was:

“I’m not doing this again.”

I had to pivot in the online space. My lifestyle changed. My time zone changed. The country my husband and I lived in for the winter changed. The constant hustle? I didn’t want to recruit. The pressure? I didn't want to feel responsible for a team.

I didn’t want 20–40% commissions.

I wanted ALL of it if I was going to be putting any kind of time online in!

100% of the commissions. And I wanted the freedom and flexibility.

The peace of mind.

I needed something simple. Something I could do without being “on” ALL the time. Without having my phone glued to my hand. Something I could schedule around family and travel times with minimal "anything" including Zoom meetings.

Because real talk? Nap time.. whether you're a mom or a grandma isn’t a free hour. It’s sacred. It’s when we fold laundry, reheat coffee for the third time if we can find where we left our cup last time, answer emails, or just sit still for five minutes.

If you’re feeling mom guilt trying to balance snacks, screen time limits, and somehow growing a online money maker business.. it’s not just you. We carry so many labels: mom, wife, grandma, caregiver, chef, cleaner, event coordinator. But deep down? You want something for you. A sliver of our day that fuels our growth, sparks joy and fills your cup AND your bank account.

And while we’re keeping it real.. no one needs another MLM pitch, another team call, or another dashboard to refresh for dopamine looking for emojis and comments.

We need real, sustainable ways to make money online that don’t add more noise.

Discovering a Simpler Digital Path

Here are a few simple mom business tips that helped me stay focused and balanced while building my digital income stream:

✅ Designate a work zone. Even if it’s the corner of your dining table, make it your space.
✅ Set a timer. Work in focused 25-minute bursts (hello, snack time productivity!).
✅ Plan around real life. Don't fight your rhythms.. create content when your energy is highest.
✅ Batch, then rest. Record or write 3–5 things in one go. Then close the laptop, put the phone down.
✅ Let go of perfect. Your kids (and grandbabies) don’t need a perfect businesswoman. They need you, present and progressing.

That’s why I leaned into digital marketing.. but not the overcomplicated version you see on TikTok. While I had the skill set of "creating a course", I didn't want to. I sought out "done for me" programs, content I could re market and make cash for Thanksgiving dinner and extra apple pie in cause someone didn't want a slice of pumpkin pie.. I found a step-by-step program designed specifically for women like me; women who value their purpose and peace but still want a real paycheck.

And there’s a reason this is working so well for women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond.. we’ve lived. We’re not here for gimmicks, the slick, the ick. We know our value & worth. We want a business that respects our energy and still pays us really well, padding our savings account and breathing room to our budgets.

I may be a grandma now, but I can promise you this: it’s never too late to explore, and begin where we are. I only wish someone had shown me this 10 years ago.
