My childhood. 1982. Christmas in July.

The interest rates were climbing faster than my dad could work. He was the hardest-working man I knew.. hauling, logging, fixing, feeding, grinding. But none of that outworked what was happening to families like ours.

The record player played all Moms favorite holiday music, and gave us a Christmas in July to remember as Dad read Genesis from the Good Book.

(AND .. Please .. do not worry about "what others think about you" .. They don't pay your bills! My Mom had this phrase she gave to me, I'm going to give it to you:
"If they don't like, don't look." She had some sass for sure, which I recorded years ago! )
