For years, Facebook was where women connected, shared, and hustled. It was our training ground — the first real place to build online confidence and community. I remember back in 2013, I could post the promo graphics the company gave me and wake up to a full inbox of “ready-to-buy 🛒 shoppers.” But years flew by, and now Social Media comes with new rules, more hoops, and far less visibility.
And while it’s natural to feel nostalgic or loyal to the platform that gave us our start, the truth is: Facebook was built for connection — not for consistent conversions or long-term ways to make extra money online.
Truly, that’s why it’s called “Social Media.” We make media (our posts) and post it for social engagement. Facebook is not called Salesbook, right? And while women can make a dang fine income 💰 online, Facebook is not the “fast lane” to make money from home as it used to be in the online earning space.

The algorithm circus 🎪 hasn’t gone away. If anything, it’s gotten louder than the shrieking children on the Ferris Wheel!

• Organic reach is nearly gone. Unless you’re dancing 💃🏼 on reels or paying for ads, we’re stuck marketing to the same small friendship circle.
• Visibility comes with judgment. Friends, family, and coworkers can see everything you post — which often means self-censoring 😟 or second-guessing if our mindset, self-worth, or confidence isn’t strong.
And to top it off — you’ve seen it too — the suppression is real.
